How SEABorrow collects and verifies loan data
SEABorrow is a comparison-first borrower tool, not a real-time bank feed. Every figure shown in a lender row should be traceable to a publicly visible lender page, a dated snapshot, or an explicit editorial note explaining why the field remains partial.
1. Where the numbers come from
We start from the lender's own public product page, fee page, FAQ or similarly public document. Aggregator tables can help us discover a lender, but they do not qualify as the primary source. The rule is simple: if a borrower cannot open the source page themselves, it should not drive a verified row.
2. Verified vs partial offers
- Verified — key public fields such as rate, fee and eligibility were found on the lender page and checked on the stated date.
- Partial — some important numbers are missing, gated, ambiguous or only visible deeper in the lender flow.
When a field is not clearly disclosed, SEABorrow leaves it blank or marks it as Check source. That restraint is part of the product, not an unfinished placeholder.
3. Snapshots and refreshes
Public lender content changes over time, so SEABorrow stores dated snapshots rather than claiming live pricing. Snapshot refreshes update the public fields, while editorial caveats stay manually reviewed so the borrower-facing explanation remains honest.
4. What we do not do
- We do not present an app-only or login-only number as a verified public field.
- We do not manufacture EIR, fee or income values from market averages.
- We do not describe a lender row as real-time when it is snapshot-based.
- We do not remove caveats just because they make a comparison less convenient.
5. How to use the product responsibly
Treat SEABorrow as a planning and comparison layer. Use it to understand monthly payment, all-in cash cost, income fit and the shape of the tradeoff. Then re-open the lender's own page before applying and confirm the current rate, fees, tenure and approval terms.
6. Feedback and corrections
If you see a stale number, a missing public field, or a row that should be downgraded from verified to partial, email jin758241@gmail.com with the source URL and we will review it against the public lender page.
